The Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan is one of the largest mosques in the world. Designed by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay, the mosque's unique design resembles a Bedouin tent and can accommodate over 100,000 worshippers at a time. The mosque's stunning white marble exterior and four minarets standing at 286 feet tall make it a prominent landmark in the city. Completed in 1986, the Faisal Mosque is named after King Faisal bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia, who funded its construction.
